Use non-toxic detergents suitable for lower temperatures. Try to avoid tumble drying and dry-cleaning. All custom-printed products and fabrics should be washed and ironed inside out.

Q: Am I limited to a specific set of colors when designing?

A: No, you can use any color you want. However, to ensure that the colors look the same on the fabric as they do on the screen, we recommend ordering a Color Map on the desired fabric.

Q: How should I prepare my design for print?

A: To upload your design to our customizer, save it as a .jpg or .png file with a resolution of 150 DPI.

Q: What is DPI and why does it matter?

A: DPI stands for dots per inch and refers to the resolution of an image. When printing an image on fabric, the DPI determines how many dots (pixels) per inch will be used to print the image. We print at 150 DPI to ensure high-quality prints.

Q: Why only 150 DPI?

A: We use 150 DPI as a default resolution for design previews on our website. If your design was prepared at 300 pixels per inch, it may appear larger than its original size on our site. Increasing the resolution to 300 DPI won’t improve the print quality and will only make the file size larger. To ensure the best quality print, we recommend leaving the resolution at 150 DPI.

For instance, if your image has a 2000px x 2000px resolution at 150 DPI, the maximum print size on fabric could be 34cm x 34cm. If you want to print a photo on 1m x 1m fabric at 150 DPI, the resolution of your photo should be around 35 megapixels or 5906px x 5906px. If you’re creating a pattern from an illustration or picture, upload it in 150 DPI and then resize it in the customizer until you’re happy with the result.

Q: What is JPEG?

A: JPEG is a popular image format that is often used for photographs, but it can also be used for scans, digital paintings, and vectors. When you save an image as a JPEG, it becomes a raster file which means it is made up of pixels. 

โš ๏ธ If a JPEG file is printed on fabric at a larger resolution than the original, it may lose quality and look pixelated. To avoid this, it’s important to have a resolution of at least 150 DPI and keep the file size under 40 MB to ensure your picture looks clear and crisp.
